Twist and Shout is a quilted wallhanging that celebrates movement, rhythm, and a joyful platform for making one’s voice heard. Each block twists around a central square, as if gathering energy and creating a visual pulse that feels both grounded and electric.  
The horizontal band of blue cutting across the center feels like a breath, a moment of coolness and reflection amid the heat and intensity of the surrounding colorful African prints. The vertical red-and-black strip reads as a spine, holding the piece upright, resilient, and unapologetically present. The bold black framing holds the motion in place and allows the colors to speak louder, sharper, and with greater clarity.
